The Washington Post calls this book a “delightfully witty” novel. We don’t think that goes quite far enough for this book that is slated to become a motion picture. It’s a fresh concept on time travel – a history teacher with a secret – he’s over 400 years old, so he’s got first-hand knowledge of everything he teaches the teens in his class. His secret is protected and will remain so as long as he follows one rule: don’t fall in love. Ah but breaking that rule just might enable him to truly live for once, though that means he may have to die. And that new French teacher seems to make it worth trying…
