My Name is Nelson: Pretty Much the Best Novel Ever

by Dylan Fairchild
My Name is Nelson

With a title like that, it kind of sounds like you don’t need a description. But we have a good work ethic so you’ll get one anyway. Fairchild brings us a sci-fi work about what happens when the worst national security crises ever in American history hits during the Christmas season. It comes at the hands of Nelson Troutman, who had grown up feeling “different” all his life. Now a brilliant scientist, Troutman created a weapon that cruises the sky waiting for him to discover someone somewhere who is being “treated mean” so he can unleash his death ray and vaporize the bad guys. While not a comedic novel, there’s plenty here that will make you laugh (and some a little that might make you cry).
